Some Toyota News For 2023

It’s been a busy few weeks in the Toyota newsroom, so let’s break down some of the details behind the headlines!

The Toyota Sienna is turning 25! In celebration of the first quarter-century for the popular van, Toyota announced a very limited and special edition 2023 Toyota Sienna 25^th Anniversary Edition. This rare edition is based on the sport-infused Sienna XSE AWD with some sweet additions, including roof rails, Premium Audio with JBL speakers and navigation, wireless charging and a 1500-watt power outlet.

It wouldn’t be a 25^th Anniversary without some focus on silver, right? The Sienna 25^th Anniversary Edition will be available in Celestial Silver and Wind Chill Pearl with special black badging and an exterior trim, including mirrors caps and the shark fin antenna.

The Limited grade Sienna is also lending its features to the 25^th Anniversary Edition, such as the exterior mirrors with memory, auto-dimming, puddle lights, power-fold and reverse-tilt down function. Black leather-trimmed seating with silver stitching as well as 25^th Anniversary floormats and an exclusive black key fob cover with silver stitching round out the ways you’ll be celebrating in unique style.

The Toyota 4Runner is 40. Wow. To celebrate, Toyota is releasing a 2023 4Runner 40^th Anniversary Special Edition. This new version of the 2023 4Runner is SO special, only 400 will be available in Canada! This is the kind of Special Edition vehicle made to show off 40 years of experience in style and driving versatility.

It will come in three colours: White, Midnight Black Metallic, and Barcelona Red Metallic. Standing out against its competitors and comparisons, the SR5-based 2023 4Runner 40^th Anniversary Special Edition includes bronze-coloured 17-inch alloy wheels, a Toyota heritage grille and a bronze-coloured 49^th Anniversary exterior tailgate badge. But that’s not it, because these 400 2023 4Runner’s will also include a heritage graphics package featuring retro-inspired yellow, orange, and red graphics. Exclusive 40^th Anniversary Special Edition floormats as well as bronze-coloured stitching and bronze badging are included inside.

You’re getting more Nightshade options, this year for the 2023 Venza and the 2023 Camry. A number of options already exist for Toyota drivers, Nightshade editions help add a more unique and striking visual style to your vehicle. The 2023 Camry will offer Nightshade features for the SE grade all-wheel drive and hybrid models, with your choice of colours being Midnight Black or White. With the Nightshade additions, the front grille, rear spoiler, mirror caps and exterior badges are blacked out, with the new features including black-trimmed headlights and taillights.

The 2023 Toyota Venza Nightshade Edition is based on the XLE trim level and available in three colours; Celestial Black, Wind Chill Pearl or Ruby Flare Pearl. Blackout trim throughout all three options will keep Nightshade Edition Venzas more distinctly noticeable on the road. Included is an acrylic front grille trim, black-painted outer mirror caps, door handles, rocker panels and available black roof rails. The lower bumpers also include smoked chrome moldings and Toyota has added a black shark fin antenna as well as 19-inch gloss-black multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels and blacked out rear badges.

Now, onto the performance aspect of what’s new from Toyota moving through 2022 towards 2023. Let’s turbocharge an engine! The 2023 Toyota Highlander is offering even more reasons to continue its reign as the NUMBER ONE midsize SUV in Canada. Gas models of the 2023 Highlander are receiving a new, higher=torque AND higher-efficiency turbocharged engine. The 265-horspower, 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder delivers 310 lb of torque. This new engine replaces the older 3.5-litre V6, and a 17% increase in the torque. Efficiency is also better than the older V6 engine, with a manufacturer-estimated 9.8L/100 km combined. These new turbo models are also equipped to tow up to 5,000-pounds and includes features like Trailer Sway Control AND the all-new Toyota Multimedia System, previously available only in the 2022 Toyota Tundra.

The RAV4 Hybrid might be your perfect companion for trips into the woods in 2023. That’s because there will be an addition to the line of RAV4’s… the 2023 RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition. This is the first hybrid off-road special edition SUV Toyota has released!

Available in Midnight Black Metallic, Cavalry Blue and White exterior colours, the RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition features distinctively rugged exterior touches and premium interior styling. The suspension has been TRD-tuned to help the RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition engineer better body control and enhance smoothness on the trails. It also comes standard with Falken WILDPEAK AT tires for optimal off-roading, raised black roof rack cross bars and even a 120V inverter to power-up household items.
